Final Reflection

For the past seven weeks, I've been working with my first overseas internship in Cabrini Connections, Tutor/Mentor Connection and feel it worthwhile. This internship experience not only expands what I've learnt at college as a journalism student, but gives me a general idea of how I should do outside the ivory tower. When I first learnt that my job at Cabrini Connections Tutor/Mentor Connection is to help update this website by blogs (as you can see right now), pictures, or even videos, I found…See More

Edgewood College Visit: More Than Imagination

I thought it would just be another normal week when I and Jenny came to Cabrini Connections, Tutor/Mentor Connection on Monday as usual. It was not until we saw a group of people, dressed in blue T-shirt, sitting in a circle playing name games that I realized I finally got a chance to experience a program with all the passionate participants and our CC students. It is an annual summer program co-held by Cabrini Connections and Edgewood College. This year, Dr Tom Holub together with his graduate…See More

Hi Willow!
I don't know if you've run across these, but as I have been going through some of the programs today, I ran across a few tutor/mentoring programs that serve the Chinese American community in Chicago. Perhaps these contacts could offer potential media/newsletter ideas for you to share your stories

Thanks Willow. This is how I hope you and Jenny will think, and how I hope others will also learn to think. We all know many people. We just need to spend time building the list, then take time to send and introduction with suggestions of how they might help.

You should plan on playing golf with one of the groups during the golf event since you've taken lessons. We have a set of used clubs in the back closet. Maybe you could advertise "play a round with Willow" and recruit three paying players to join you!

Hi Willow. I enjoyed the presentation this afternoon and meeting your fellow students. Thanks for the beautiful gift.

There are a few sub groups I'd like you and Jenny to join where I can be talking to you both at the same time. One is the fund raising group at http://tutormentorconnection.ning.com/group/networkwithtutormentorconnection
