Tutor/Mentor Programs part of Workforce Development - Are you Aligned?

I attended a High School Drop Out Summit in Illinois this week, and one of the papers I read was a "Birth To Work" white paper. I wrote about it and provide a link on my blog.

The co-author was a senior executive of The Boeing Company and he calls on people from business, non profits, schools, and others beyond traditional education to take on leadership roles.

Are you in agreement? Are business leaders in your community, or on your board, aligned with this thinking?
