A Book Club would be a fantastic idea even if it's organized as an after school club at CC. Is there an after school Book Club in CC's past and if/so was it successful? If so I suggest we begin with 50 Cent's 'the 50th Law' incredibly inspirational…

I like the idea of long-distance mentoring and a book program sounds like a good start. Ultimately it would be best if mentors and mentees met face-to-face, an arrangement that I think is more conducive to developing a close, mutually beneficial rel…

I think this might be a great way to connect students and volunteers from different programs together in this forum. It can have a direct benefit on the kids, but possibly an even greater benefit on how programs begin to network with each other arou…

Hi Rachel,

Thanks for offering to help us find donors and leaders to support Cabrini Connections, the Tutor/Mentor Connection and similar programs operating in Chicago and other cities.

There are several discussions which I've started that don't have many participants. I encourage you to browse these and help me build participation and engagement, so more people are using these forums to help build tutor/mentor programs.

You will find in the groups section that we have several sub groups, and I encourage you to join any that you want to be part of, or to start another group that brings in more people from your own university. In these groups you'll see some pretty sophisticated work done by interns that can be an example of what others can also do to help us.

If you have questions, just post them to me in this forum, so others can answer as well.
