"Actually, we don't have a website. I'm not even the volunteer coordinator but my coordinator doesn't really do anything. I am looking into making a website soon and I am planning on attending the conference this year!"

About Me:
Hello, I'm Angela and I am the Tutoring Coordinator for ChildServ. I design, supervise and run two tutoring programs. Our main program is at Chicago Temple (First United Methodist Church) on Wednesdays from 4pm until 6pm. Our newest program is in Harvey at the Bryant Elementary School on Tuesdays from 3pm until 5pm.

The goal of our program is to increase the students reading comprehension (for both programs) and English fluency (for Chicago Temple students). I'm very excited to be the coordinator of these programs and making them the best that they can be. I am hoping to turning the programs around in terms of curriculum, activities and training for the tutors.

I'm on Tutor Mentor Connection in hopes of networking with others on ideas, activities and hopefully gaining tutors for both program (especially the Harvey program).

Hello Angela!
I am a new intern here at cabrini connections and I am from the south eastside of Chicago. I actually work in Harvey at Ingalls hospital and I think it is wonderful that you have a tutor program set up there. Have you ever considered approaching the hospital to see if maybe you could offer your tutoring services to the employee's children or perhaps at least get a mention in the hospitals monthly news letter to recruit volunteers? I just thought I would say hello and make the suggestion. Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,
Kate Lulinski
