I would like help. I've added a new chart to the picture area, illustrating the path from elementary school through high school and into jobs and careers.

I don't know how many leaders or volunteers in tutor/mentor programs around the country view their program as part of a workforce development process. I also don't know how many businesses value volunteerism, or tutor/mentor programs, as part of their own human capital and workforce development strategy.

I encourage you to reach into your network and invite people who volunteer, lead or donate to volunteer based tutoring and/or mentoring programs to join this community and talk about why, or why not, a tutor/mentor program should integrate into a business workforce development plan.
