About Me:
An Undergraduate with BA Geography, majoring in GIS, Remote Sensing, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Conservation, Sociology, and Demography.
Currently volunteering with a grassroots NGO advocating for environmental restoration and preservation of human rights with afforestation as the starting point.
Have done a lot of consultancy with community based national and international NGOs in Kenya with a bias towards rural communities; such includes KEMRI/CDC DSS Project, USAID Aphia II Nyanza, Care International, World Vision, amongst others.
I now volunteer with Green Belt Movement-Kenya, an NGO founded by the 2004 Nobel Peace Laureate Prof. Wangari Maathai.
What do you hope to learn, or share, on this forum?
Am open to learning all that I can. I am also trying to learn more about the power of GIS and Remote Sensing towards decision making, not only in natural resources management, but in uplifting the socio-economic well being of the under-previledged.
