About Me:
I am currently a Communications Studies graduate student at Governors State University. I am working on a project to find professional resources in the area of youth mentoring. I am passionate about mentoring youth as I have always found myself making relational bonds with them. I am hoping to develop develop my own mentorship program in the near future.
What do you hope to learn, or share, on this forum?
I am looking to join an organization that will help me to build skills as a mentor and perhaps lead me in the direction of developing a youth mentorship program. I would like to have more information about your organization and the requirements for joining.

Thanks for joining me here. I encourage you to browse around the different sections of this site, as well as the different sections on the main Tutor/Mentor Connection site. As you begin to learn what we're doing, you will see blogs where other volunteers are sharing their understanding with people in their own networks.
As you begin to write about these ideas in your own blog, and in research you might do related to your graduate work, others will learn these ideas from you, and will come to our sites and learn from me and the others who share their own ideas.
As people apply these ideas in different parts of the Chicago region, and the world, it will lead to a better flow of ideas, resources and dollars to places that connect directly with children and youth, and a lower cost to leaders of these places for obtaining these resources.
Post your questions in any of the groups on this forum and I'll answer.
