About Me:
Currently trying to connect local community initiatives across my local area in the UK and assist with building online networks. Previously worked as an online collaboration specialist with the NPIA and policing service across the UK, including advising and supporting development of online communities, use of collaboration tools such as blogs, wikis, discussions. Started career as primary teacher in London, did some EFL in Turkey and UK. Then moved to the 'e' world - eLearning, eHR, eGovernment. Returned to learning technology for a professional services firm then as an eLearning Adviser at University of Surrey, advising staff about different technologies and how they might like to use them in teaching, learning, research.
What do you hope to learn, or share, on this forum?
I hope to share my journey as I learn more about how your organisation has worked, continue to raise awareness across private, public and voluntary organisations about your work and how it could be applied in the UK. I am actively seeking opportunities to connect with local economic partnerships and explore ways of funding the amazing work that you are doing.

Hi Nicola.
I don't know Tessy but hope you introduce her to the group. One goal I have from the Social Network Analysis group is to be able to show who is in my network so that others can know who I know, or have connected to over the past 18 years. Without this it's almost impossible to recall at any given time who all these people are.
The names I sent you yesterday were just the result of me going through one set of links on the http://www.tutormentorconnection.org site. If I went through all of the links I probably would be able to point out several more UK people that would be valuable for you to connect with.
I don't have the time to do this, or the manpower for the SNA project, but it could be something taken on by volunteers or interns from one or more universities.
I posted a blog article today showing OHATS growth over the past 10 years and included the video you're working on in it. Thank you.
Here's another person you might connect with.

Hi Nicola,
I'm browsing some of the links I host on the T/MC site and one is the YouthNet in the UK. I encourage you to include them in your research because you probably can borrow from many of their ideas and perhaps create a link that connects them to us.
