About Me:
I am director of curriculum and instruction and support 6 alternative high school programs. I also teach English Kennedy King College, on of Chicago's City Colleges. I am a published author, mother of 5, and servant of God.

Thanks for joining us here. I hope you'll create an assignment that has some of your students digging deeply into this site and the Tutor/Mentor Connection site, to learn what we're trying to do, and to learn how students at high school and college can take on leadership roles to help make comprehensive, volunteer-based tutor/mentor programs available in their own neighborhoods.
This is a project that can repeat from year to year, with new students joining the learning process, and older students building their understanding, skills and personal power to make change happen.
Five or ten years from now some of your students can still be connected to this, but in much more powerful leadership roles.
