Thanks Evan. The great thing about the Internet and these forums is that you can now stay connected with friends, and a cause, no matter where you live. That means people will stay involved longer, and grow their knowledge, commitment and impact on the cause. Please take an active role in these forums to help build interaction and participation, and ultimately, a better range of tutor/mentor programs serving at-risk youth.

Thanks Evan. These forums can be powerful tools for building relationships and mentoring each other, and our volunteers and donors. However, we need to figure out ways to use them effectively, and ways to get more people to make these part of their mentoring efforts. I hope you'll help me expand the network so that we bring in more and more talent who can help.

Take a look at the Korea Group and see some of the projects they are working on. Students in mentoring programs, and at the University of Wisconsin, could be doing similar work for a similar purpose.

Hi Evan. Thanks for joining. I encourage you to use this forum as actively as you can to provide training for programs in the Kenosha-Racine area, and for anyone else who we can bring to this forum.

    About Me:

In the next few days, I will be wrapping up my service as an AmeriCorps*VISTA and will be moving on. I would like to thank the Tutor Mentor Connections in being supportive over the last year and helping Mentor Kenosha & Racine grow. I would still like to be active in the Tutor Mentor Connections. Feel free to email me at ewitalison@yahoo.com to keep in contact with me. I am an AmeriCoprs*VISTA volunteer serving as the program coordinator for Mentor Kenosha & Racine, a mentoring partnership out of the Center for Community Partnerships at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.
