About Me:
Recently left the corporate world following a 5 year stint as an Officer in the Army, to join an Urban Ministry staff - GRIP Outreach for Youth. I love that the Body of Christ is serving in some of Chicago's toughest areas, but we can do more.
What do you hope to learn, or share, on this forum?
How Creekers, and other members of the Body of Christ can band together to use already existing forums, ministries, and churches to bring God to all of Chicago.

What branch of the Army were you with? I was in Military Intelligence many years ago and I was a student of military history in college. I use maps as a tool for showing where the enemy is concentrated (poverty) and where we have troop deployments (tutor/mentor programs). You can see our maps at
I've tried to attract current and ex military to adopt the way we use maps into their own leadership, because they understand that its logistics and supplies that win wars. If we can't get tutor/mentor programs into more high poverty areas, and keep each program well supplied with volunteers, dollars, ideas, etc., we will loose the kids to poverty and their neighborhoods.
I write about this in many places and use this forum to connect with others who will share these ideas in their own leadership and outreach. If you can connect faith leaders, and military leaders to us, they can do much to help each of us help our kids.
