The Australian Youth Mentoring Network has some of the best resources I've seen.  I'd love to have someone from that group participate in this forum.

I enjoyed reading some of your blog articles.  If any of the graphics that I share on this site help illustrate your ideas, please use them in your blog.

I cannot tell much about The Corporate Menteeship product product from your blog. Is it a training program? If so, what is the marketing and distribution plan that would get the program into a large segment of companies? What helps those companies use it to get a growing number of employees to become mentors and mentees to each other, or to youth in elementary or high school? What sustains this at all those levels for many years?

Maybe you've figured all of this out. If you have, it would be valuable to share that thinking on your blog or a web site as part of your own efforts to attract people to use the training program.

I encourage you to introduce this into the Africa sub group and see if you can get feedback from any of the other people who are part of this group, and from Africa.

Thanks for joining this group. Our primary focus is on reaching youth as early as 1st grade with mentoring, tutoring and extra learning that helps them grow up, go through school and enter jobs and careers over a 15-20 year period.

Your focus on workplace mentoring is important because unless we get the business community to encourage employees to connect with young people, and to provide the resources to support the programs where they connect, we'll never have enough of the resources to operate many tutor/mentor programs, or sustain them for as many years as each needs to stay in business, and constantly improve.

I hope you'll borrow from the ideas, add your own, and help us draw business decision-makers into this discussion.

    About Me:

I am a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. After graduation, I started an indoor flower sales to corporate bodies and individuals, after 2years, I started a job with a Telecommunication company, But I just have the firm believe that I am an employer not employee, I decided to look out for individuals who have an international platform, so they could mentor me, It worked for me, my !st mentor worked and resigned with both Chevron and Shell for 0ver 10years, I got another mentor who worked with JP Morgan Chase bank in the US, my learning path gave me an Edge, I was mentored by them and also worked for over a year without pay. but it pays me today, I came up with a product called- The Corporate Menteeship - How to attract a mentor and get the best from mentoring, i have started using the product in community based project in Nigeria, I'm hoping to go through the entire Africa and beyond.
