You and other parents who have lost kids to violence have been exploited by the media and the political leadership. You're put in front of the cameras to capture public agony and attention, but the leaders are not doing anything to  help build enough birth to work programs in your neighborhoods in honor and memory of your kids. Since you have the spotlight,  use it to demand action, using maps and other visualizations I post on my web sites.  As you model this other parents can learn from you. I will help.

Pamela, take a look at the PDF I posted in this section of the form. It shows ways you and other parents can create maps to help mobilize leaders to support your efforts. http://tutormentorconnection.ning.com/group/cktmc?commentId=783429%...

Pamela, thank you for attending the conference and for sharing your blog. I hope you'll follow my blog, and look at the other blogs on this site, written by interns working with me. You and other parents could be writing articles similar to mine, aimed at bringing needed resources into your neighborhoods so their are more programs attempting to attract youth to positive activities, school, and jobs.
