Hi Jacquie, thanks for joining us. As you browse the groups you can see how I work with some of the participants to develop blogs, and graphics that we use to help people expand their understanding of what a tutor/mentor program might look like, and what it takes to help one start, and keep it going for many years. Thus, this is a workspace for what we do in Chicago.
I invite you and others to use it the same way, to draw ideas that you can use in your own community, and to invite others who will help you communicate those ideas, now, and in the future, to the people who need to provide the time, talent, and dollars to help you operate and sustain those programs for many years.
If the type of work we do to focus on Chicago is duplicated in many cities, with forums like this to connect people, ideas and resources from each city to each other, we can get the attention of more people, more influential people, and thus draw more consistent support to the work individual youth programs do in each area.
Connect knowledge, volunteers, youth and make a difference.
