Hi, the 2.0. I've done screen recordings before, so I didn't have to learn as such on that one, once it is installed, with the lossless codec

Once open, you get a small box and press red record button, then the cursor changes to a cross to size the area of your screen you want, then you can minimize the box and start talking. When finished, maximise the box and press the stop button. Yesterday was slow because I was using a netbook and it was doing something else at the same time, but in theory, you could record in 5-10 mins if you can do the first go, then it processes - depending on file size, but a 5 min one took approx 20 mins, then approx 1 hour (ouch!) to upload and finish processing on YouTube. But if you edited the video and made it smaller then it would be quicker overall I think, even with basic editing.

There are some other screen recording tools, will find - SnagIt is good but its not free, Jing I've also used a lot,  is also good, free, easy to use, but not opensource http://www.techsmith.com/jing/

Which version of CamStudio are you using? The 2.0 or the 2.6 beta? Can you tell me how much time it took for you to learn how to create the video on OHATS that you've been showing?

Thanks for the feedback, will revise along the lines you suggest and find an editor too. We can add annotations with CamStudio too. Much appreciated !

This is great.  Good additions.  One more suggestion.  When you log in on your own name and password, you can only see and edit things you have documented.  If you log in as username GUEST and password VISITOR you can see all of the actions that are in the system since 2000, and sort by actions or recorders.

In each of the text areas of the Metrics page are links to a page on OHATS where that particular metric is explained in more detail. Since we've not had the tech support to keep updating OHATS since this revised version was launched in 2008, their are some minor bugs. One is that if you are logged in the metrics page you look at is an older version and the links to the NING page go to a "closed" discussion area. So you can't see the discussion.  However, if you don't log in and just click the metrics from the home page, the links on each category go to the new OHATS page on Ning, which is open to any viewer.

If you browse these you'll see that we need people who will do just what you've done, such as creating video to educate others to use OHATS. Or to try to write reports making sense of what has been documented. We obviously also need tech support to keep refining how the site works.

Thank you again for your initiative on this. It really shows how people from throughout the world can work together.

Hi, apologies, it should appear shortly, v0.2. It needs editing but used CamStudio this time instead http://camstudio.org/

Still a bit waffly, but maybe someone with more experience of T/MC could adapt and create their own
