“Beyond the Bricks” is a documentary/non-fiction work created with the goal of promoting solutions for one of America’s critical problems in education: the consistently low performance of African-American boys in the public school system. Interviewed are scholars, community organizers, politicians, as well as students, who struggle to either get themselves back on track and/or to stay on track to success. Produced by WKMP
