Great, that sounds good. I've dropped it in my calendar. Take care.

Hi Sue,
Thanks for the invite...I actually still mentor my Little Brother from BBBS and he keeps my plate pretty full. That said, I'd love to help in some capacity. Keep me posted. Blessings.

Hi Sue, at http://www.tutormentorexchange.net you can find a variety of illustrated essays that show how mentoring is part of a strategy to engage workplace and non-poverty adults in helping kids through school and to careers.

This is not the strategy that I see in many mentoring programs, but one which I apply at Cabrini Connections and encourage via the Tutor/Mentor Connection.

I have another set of concept maps, but they are not working today due to an update error on my part. I should have them working in a couple of days.

Sue,
I'm here in Austin as well. I've heard of your program and would love to connect at some point in the future. Thanks for what you do.

Hi Sue, I visited the www.rivercityyouth.org web site and it looks like you've been doing great work. I encourage you to visit the T/MC web site and see how we're using visual communications like concept maps, to illustrate the many actions needed over many years to help kids living in poverty reach jobs and careers. A link is http://cmapspublic.ihmc.us/servlet/SBReadResourceServlet?rid=1178301962705_378512451_14531&partName=htmltext

I encourage you to try to use concept maps to map your own strategies and accomplishments, so we and others can compare and learn from each other.

Hi Sue, thanks for joining. I hope you'll visit the other T/MC sites and connect with us there, too. You'll see how we're trying to build a network of volunteers, leaders, donors, etc. and work to tell our stories more frequently and in more places, with a goal of building more consistent support for programs like yours in Texas and mine in Illinois.
