Good luck to you. Do you know Weldon Rougeau at the Congressional Black Caucus? I don't know if he is still there. I knew him when he was in Chicago. If you can enlist any of the Congressmen to this forum we can share our ideas with them. Visit the…

Thanks for joining this group. Your web site and video provide a lot of important information. I hope that you'll browse some of the material in the Tutor/Mentor Institute and that we're trying to discuss in this forum, and include it in future videos and outreach.

I use two forms of visualization that I don't see being used in many other places. One is computer generated maps that show where poor schools and poverty are concentrated, which is where more resources are needed to support non-school and in-school activities that help kids through school and into jobs and careers.

A second is concept maps, that work like blueprints, to show the many different resources needed in every neighborhood, for many years.

The big challenge is building these resources in multiple locations, and funding them for dozens of years in each one of these location. I think part of the solution is the creation of video projects such as you are working on and that our own kids and volunteers are creating at the tutor/mentor program I lead in Chicago.

My goal in this forum, and the Tutor/Mentor Connection, is not only to share ideas, but to create public awareness that draws the resources into the forum so each of us has the ability to put the ideas to work.

I hope you'll help make that happen.
