Relationship building

I joined Cabrini Connections in 1999 and was recently reminded of the positive impact that it had on me. It profoundly impacted my relational abilities.I recall Cabrini Connections being a third place for me; it was my home away from home. The staff were beyond friendly; they took an interest in your life. My tutor exemplified this value as well. His name is Larry Daigle.Larry volunteered after work hours to help me with my homework. This was his only official commitment. However, he excelled…See More

Hi Mark, thanks for joining. I hope you'll skim through the various groups and blogs and then find a way to launch discussions that lead people to think about what it takes to make a tutor/mentor program available in a location, and what the program needs to do to attract kids and volunteers and keep them coming back year after year for many years. As a alumni you have a unique perspective on this and hopefully can draw others into the discussion.

You also should use the "my page" to create a profile of yourself. Show some of the work you've done. Write blog articles that point to why and where tutor/mentor programs are needed. As you do this you will expand your network and open up opportunities for work and career.
