Just read your post. I know of a superb after school club that I'm certain will have some learning for you, run by an Ashoka fellow over in Santiago, Chile. the kids on the project are affected mainly by the major drugs problem in Santiago, but they have a number of unique aspects to the programme. I visited them earlier this year.
