Tutor/Mentor Conference Planning Committee

Tutor/Mentor Connection/Institute, LLC hosted Leadership and Networking Conference in Chicago every six months from May 1994 to May 2015. Conferences have not been held since due to lack of financial support, but we continue to attempt to engage people in on-line networking and idea sharing using social media and forums like this.  See More

Deanna, I hope your conference next week is a success. We're trying to find the dollars needed to keep us going and that means we're not able to go to all the events we'd like to. I hope you'll use the ning sites for part of the learning and network building that might result from your conference.

Hi Deanna, I'm still getting this message when I try to join your ning group. "Membership is by invitation only. If you have an invitation, click the link in the email to join."

It would be great to get the Cornell group involved on this site, as well as any others who are interested. If you visit the groups section you'll see one for Acacia Fraternity. The goal of this is to recruit members and alumni from different Acacia chapters to the site so they can learn from me and apply what they learn to help build volunteer-based tutor/mentor programs in the towns where their chapters are located. This concept can repeated in many, many ways. It just takes one or two people from each place to understand their power to make things happen.

Hi Deanna,

I hope you'll join in this group discussing applications of Social Network Analysis.

If you have alumni in Chicago who'd like to volunteer on this project, please recruit them. If you have students who might want to intern here this summer to help carry the project forward over the summer, that would also be welcome.

What we learn here we are sharing as we go so that others might apply these ideas in their own community, while working together to help us draw attention and resources through this group to each of its members.
