Here's a new map that you can read about in the mappingforjustice blog. It shows the schools on the School Warning List for 2008, and indicates additions of new schools from 2007, as well as those schools which moved off of the list due to better performance. Unfortunately more schools were added than removed.

Any economic stimulus package that helps tutor/mentor programs grow around these poorly performing schools would provide immediate jobs, and build long-term futures. I hope members of this group will pass this information on through their networks so more people use maps to make decisions on where and how they support kids in poverty. We'd like to help mapping strategies like this grow in other cities and other countries, where we link through our public awareness and resource building strategies.
