The competition of face-to-face conference and the lack of funds mean I'm not doing a Tutor/Mentor Leadership and Networking Conference in Chicago this spring for the first time since 1994.
However, using webnars, social media, and other electronic forums I think we can still share ideas, reach a growing number of people and influence actions.
I was the featured speaker at an on-line event hosted by Webheads on February 26, 2012. This link takes you to a blog site where I describe the event and provide links.
I will be hosting another session in this forum on April 15 at 8am Chicago time (1400GMT) where I'll be describing the 4-part strategy of the Tutor/Mentor Connection. You can find this at http://tinyurl.com/y3eh
You will need to register at Learning2Gether to participate, but this is a FREE site, and has many valuable on-line forums.
I'd like to be doing webnars like this on a regular basis and want to try to offer some at no cost and some for a fee. I need to find a few partners to help host and market these. If any of you are interested, let's discuss. If any of you are already sharing information via on-line forums, please share the dates of events you are hosting.
