I read the article. and i agree that. i already knew that poverty makes poverty.
but we can change them with education.
the poverty makes more poverty but an education make chage their life.
so, it is very important to educate any student.

If you share information about what the Tutor/Mentor Connection is doing in Chicago with people you know in Korea, maybe some of them will use these ideas to build support systems to help more volunteer-based programs grow in Korea. Maybe when you return, you and Chuck and others who have interned with us, can work together to share these ideas.

Dan I read below article now. I'm surprised that you read Korea newspaper's article :) I agree that upbringing is the most important during growing up.
I think start line is different in every persons life, so we need to take care of poor children's life & education. but these days many people in Korea don't care about that. They thought competition is more important than welfare. 2days ago, there was a election in Korea. This problem is issued during election of superintendent of education. Through this election, many people's mind was changed and I like that. We more think about poor person or poor children. Although we don't have enough money to help them, we can help them to share our knowledge and mind. Because I think money can help them temporarily but education & care can effect to their whole life. These effort will change our world to the better place.

As our interns from Asia stay connected with us, and new interns join us. I encourage you to read this article about a Chinese business man donating $1.2 billion to charity.

Your mission, if you accept it, is to convince this leader to use T/MC maps, charts and ideas so this money is distributed throughout China, and the world, to help volunteer-based learning, tutoring and mentoring programs reach kids living in high poverty areas.

The interns from IIT and Korea set up a Cabrini Connections ning group a couple of years ago. I encourage you to join and share your ideas in that forum. You can also see some of the other work done in the past.

Hello everyone. It's glad to be with Cabrini Connections. Now I am an exchange student at IIT and, as an intern, working with Cabrini Connections from today.
